
In partnership with Chiang Mai University, C asean Youth Forum was co-organized as a collateral event of the Education for Sustainable Development Expo 2025, in commemoration of the 60th anniversary of Chiang Mai University.
The intensive panel discussion “The Future of Work: Advancing Green Jobs for Sustainable ASEAN” on 21 January 2025 had invited experts and stakeholders to explore key strategies for fostering sustainable development in ASEAN. It provided a platform for in-depth discussions on the challenges and opportunities associated with green job development in ASEAN. Panelists included:

This panel discussion marked an important step in fostering the conversation on green jobs in ASEAN. We are committed to working with stakeholders across the region to translate these insights into tangible actions that will drive a sustainable and prosperous future for ASEAN. By inspiring youth and workers to develop green skills and fostering collaboration between government, private sector and academia to share knowledge and experiences in developing green skills, as well as supporting training and mentoring of young workers and entrepreneurs to build sustainable businesses.
