C asean sees the importance of supporting the citizen of the world mindset, thus we have been working with partners to initiate activities under our three scopes of focus: Business & Sustainability, Learning & Talent Development, and Arts & Culture.
C asean Vietnam Trash to Treasure Vietnam
Trash to Treasure Vietnam is an annual creative art competition organized by C asean Vietnam, targeting in high schools and university students. With 2 intense rounds, Trash to Treasure Vietnam creates unique creative works from recycling used materials. Each work not only demonstrates aesthetics but also carries a strong message about recycling awareness, contributing to spreading a sustainable lifestyle in the community.
The competition has attracted over 50 exceptional participants across 2 years via online submission. Top 5 submissions each year complete their actual artworks and present to the judge. Each year’s winner is sponsored for a trip to Bangkok, Thailand to present their piece.
Trash to Treasure is a competition that has been held for many years in Thailand, and was launched by C asean Vietnam with the first Vietnamese version in 2023, with the desire to create value from daily waste towards a circular and reuse economy, thereby creating awareness, understanding and inspiring behavioral change in the future.
