C asean Vietnam Disaster Prevention & Mitigation Training Program
The Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Training Program provides educators with essential training in natural disaster impacts mitigation. A collaboration between C asean Vietnam and the Provincial Red Cross Society, this program enables teachers to effectively assess and respond to disaster risks while building resilient school communities. The program has been carried out in Ha Tinh (2023) and Quang Ngai (2024) – two of the provinces frequently being impacted by natural disasters, equipping over 30 school teachers with necessary knowledge and skills in disaster risk management.

Participants will gain practical skills in disaster risk assessment and emergency response to create safer schools and effectively educate students about disaster preparedness.
